I grew up in Mobile, Alabama, the son of a Judge and a schoolteacher. They taught me the importance of justice and compassion. My grandfather, who worked for Bender Shipping, taught me at an early age that "If you tell someone you are going to do something, do it" and "If you work for someone, you give them 110 percent." Over my life, I have worked hard to apply these lessons. I went to the University of South Alabama and the University of Alabama for my undergraduate studies . I then went to Alabama Law School, where I earned best in class in Civil Procedure, Maritime Law and one other class....
