Dan Griffin was born and raised in West Warwick, Rhode Island. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Dan served four years of active duty including a tour as a Marine Rifleman with the 7 th Marine Infantry Regiment during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
