Susan has been practicing law for over 34 years and brings a wealth of expertise to the negotiating table as well as to court. Susan earned her credentials as an arbitrator from the Better Business Bureau, Washington, D.C. She is a Certified Family Financial Mediator by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Committee and she is certified by the North Carolina Superior Court, Dispute Resolution Commission to mediate Superior Court cases and Equitable Distribution of Marital Property matters. Since 1997, Susan has focused her practice on Family Law, working with clients to resolve conflict through Mediation, Collaborative Law, and Litigation. Prior to that, Susan focused her practice on litigating employment, labor, contract and property disputes. She was a faculty participant in 1999, 2000 and 2004 Mediation Forums at the University Of North Carolina Law School. She spent 17 years litigating contract actions before the Illinois State and United States Northern District Courts. She taught Business Law at MacCormac Jr. College from 1979-1981 and was a seminar faculty member for Illinois Continuing Legal Education in 1986. ?
