Steven was born and raised in Canton, Ohio, the oldest of four boys. He graduated from Canton Central Catholic High School in 2005 and enrolled in the Honors Program at The Ohio State University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Economics in 2008.While studying at the University of Notre Dame Law School, Steven worked for Anesi, Ozmon, Rodin, Novak & Kohen, Ltd. in Chicago, Illinois and Magistrate Judge William H. Baughman, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio in Cleveland. He earned his Juris Doctor from Notre Dame in 2011, graduating cum laude.After law school, Steven returned to Ohio and began his career working as a petroleum landman, where he located, targeted, and acquired mineral rights, negotiated oil and gas leases and associated development agreements, and researched, analyzed, and reviewed real estate title, with a focus on oil, gas, and coal ownership, held-by-production issues, and the requirements of the Ohio Dormant Mineral Act. Steven also started and ran a small business focused on acquiring and managing residential rental properties, including real estate purchases, sales, and financing, residential leasing, and eviction proceedings.In 2019, Steven joined Kidder Law Firm, where he helps clients negotiate and structure real estate purchases and sales, oil and gas leases, land use agreements, and utility easements. He also litigates cases related to real estate, energy, utilities, contracts, and evictions, provides support to small businesses, and assists clients in drafting wills and other estate planning documents.Steven now lives in Delaware, Ohio with his wife, Cara, and son, Grant. They are members of the Vineyard Church of Delaware County.
