Mr. Roby, a native of Detroit, Michigan, emphasizes the practice of U.S. immigration and nationality law. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kalamazoo College majoring in Philosophy and English and a Juris Doctor (law) degree from the University of Detroit. Prior to his American law education, he studied Law and Philosophy at the Universitaet Muenster in Germany; International Private Law in The Hague, Netherlands; and passed the Universidad de Madrid Complutense intermediate level Language/Humanities course in Madrid, Spain. He enjoys speaking and reading German and Spanish.He is admitted as an attorney in the State of Michigan. He is authorized to practice law before two U.S. District Courts in Michigan; the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio; and the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.Mr. Roby has argued cases before the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Board of Appellate Review (State Dept.). He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and he enjoys speaking and lecturing in public fora about U.S. Immigration subjects from time to time.
