Shelley Kalita received her Juris Doctorate with Honors from DePaul College of Law in Chicago, Illinois in June 2000. She graduated in the top 10% of her law class, achieving the honors of the Order of the Coif, and served on the DePaul Law Review. In addition, Shelley has a Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois in Forensic Science. In her previous career, Shelley served as the Laboratory Director of the Illinois Racing Board, directing horse racing?s drug testing programs, and also served as the General Counsel for the Illinois Racing Board specializing in horse racing and administrative law matters for 10 years. Most recently, Shelley was appointed by the Governor of Illinois to serve as a member of the Illinois Racing Board.Shelley?s immigration and family law practice has spanned over 17 years. She has brought hundreds of immigration cases before the USCIS, the Department of State, National Visa Center, Foreign consulates, and the Federal District Court and immigration court.
