After studying biochemistry and gene therapy, I decided the lab environment wasn't for me. I looked into becoming a patent agent so I could help new inventors protect their ideas and start businesses. I joined an existing Intellectual Property law firm and enjoyed the work. I decided to pursue a legal degree and become an attorney. After 3 1/2 years of night school, I received my license. While attending school, my interests expanded beyond patent law but always remained focused on the individual.
