Additionally, she is a founding member of the Student?s Law Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. Mrs. Embry is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the Gwinnett County Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, the American Bar Association and the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorney?s. She earned her J.D. from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia, where she was President of the American Constitution Society. She is admitted to the State Bar of Georgia.
