My law practice is devoted almost exclusively to appeals and writ proceedings in civil cases. Although I can handle an appeal in any California state or federal appellate court, my law practice has focused upon appeals in the state Sixth District Court of Appeal in San Jose. The Pacific Law Journal published three of my articles on the Sixth District. In each article, I analyzed the court?s published opinions in civil cases over a three-year period. Also, as a past chair of the Appellate Courts Section of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, I had the honor to introduce at bar luncheons five Sixth District justices, two of whom still serve on the court. I have argued more civil appeals before the Sixth District than almost any other attorney. Among attorneys in the San Jose area, I have the rare distinction of being both a member of the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers and a State Bar certified specialist in appellate law.
