With more than 27 years of experience, Scott provides legal counsel to individuals and closely held businesses with sophisticated aspects of tax, business and estate planning. Licensed Minnesota and Wisconsin, his areas of expertise include business succession planning, coordinated estate planning for complex estates, and advising all types of families on transfer of assets as well as legacy and philanthropic planning during lifetime or upon death. Scott?s practice includes advising trust and estate fiduciaries (trustees and executors), beneficiaries and charitable organizations. His dedication to and advancement in the estate planning practice area is evidenced by his induction in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). Scott has acted as chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association Probate and Trust Section Council, worked as former chair of its legislation committee, and has frequently appeared as an expert witness in trust and estate matters.
