Tim developed his work ethic at a young age working long hours for his father's construction company. Tim received a BBA degree with a concentration in Finance from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and a Juris Doctor (law degree) from South Texas College of Law. Tim currently resides in Plano, Texas, with his wife, Quyen Tate, and their two children. They are active members of Prestonwood Baptist Church.
