Summary
Max is an entertainment and business attorney, musician, and the founder of Hass Law LLC. He has worked with dozens of musicians, artists, filmmakers, and small businesses in the creative sector, beginning his career in the vibrant Southeast Louisiana region before relocating to Denver in 2019.Max received his law degree from Tulane University in 2015, where he focused on intellectual property and entertainment law. While a student at Tulane, Max was an editor of the Tulane Law Review and president of the Tulane Entertainment & Art Law Society. He earned a Pro Bono Service Award for serving over 200 hours as an intern with The ELLA Project, and was a student attorney at the Tulane Civil Litigation Clinic, where he participated in the settlement of a long-running housing discrimination lawsuit. Max also worked as a summer associate at Chadbourne & Parke (now Norton Rose Fulbright) in New York City, and was an intern at the New Orleans BioInnovation Center, where he gained experience in patent and trademark law.After graduation, Max began working as an artist manager and booking agent, representing some of New Orleans? most exciting funk, jazz, and rock artists. He also worked as an independent concert promoter, putting on successful shows across a wide range of genres in many of the city's best venues. During this time, Max was also the bassist and manager for a New Orleans-based funk and blues band.At the end of 2017, Max transitioned away from management and booking and launched Action Potential Entertainment, a full-service entertainment law firm, to provide entertainment law services that had not been widely available to New Orleans' creative community. Since that time, he was fortunate enough to work with some of Louisiana's most talented creative individuals. In 2019, Max and his partner moved to Denver, and he decided to expand the firm into new regions and serve a wider base of clients.
