Marilynn Mika Spencer is the founding and managing attorney of Spencer Johnson McCammon LLP. The firm practicesexclusively in the fields of labor law, employment law, employee benefits, and personal injury. Ms. Spencerrepresents clients in the public and private sectors in most areas of labor and employment law including wageand hour claims, union law, disability discrimination and reasonable accommodation, other discrimination,administrative compliance, contract and intellectual property matters, employee benefits, and selected classactions. She regularly appears in federal and state courts and in administrative agencies including theNational Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB), the Department ofFair Employment and Housing (DFEH), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) includingFederal Sector Hearings, the California Labor Commissioner, the Department of Labor (DOL), theOccupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Cal-OSHA, the Unemployment Insurance AppealsBoard (UIAB), the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), and the State Personnel Board (SPB). Ms. Spencerearned her law degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law. She earned aBachelor of Arts in Linguistics, cum laude, from UCLA. Ms. Spencer was on the Executive Board of theCalifornia Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) for 12 years, ending in December 2014. She was the first chair of CELA?s Education Committee and was a member of that committee for over adecade.
