She also trained at the law firms of Harrington & Vitale, Motley Rice and Deluca & Weizenbaum where she gained experience in criminal defense and civil litigation.Prior to returning to her home state of RI, Katie enjoyed a distinguished career in electoral politics. At age 26, she became the youngest Congressional Chief of Staff on Capitol Hill when she had the honor of working with Congressman Don Cazayoux of Louisiana. She also held the post of Southern Regional Political Director to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and managed and consulted on dozens of political campaigns across the United States. Locally, her political experience includes serving as an advisor to Congressman David Cicilline, serving on the board of Progreso Latino, mentoring a young adult through the Year Up program.
