Atty. Justin Michael Bawden, Steamboat Springs, Routt County, Colorado, USA

Summary

Justin grew up in a small ranching community in central Montana, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology from U of M, and graduated Cum Laude from The Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing Michigan. A search for a prominent public defender system and his love for the mountains returned Justin to the west and introduced him to Colorado. Justin defended clients in the Colorado Springs Public Defenders Office for nearly five years before transferring to the Arapahoe County Office in Denver. A long-dormant passion for teaching led Justin to a year teaching high school at Colorado High School Charter in Denver, an alternative school dedicated to serving students marginalized by traditional education. Justin moved to Steamboat Springs and opened a small practice that would allow him to utilize the tools, knowledge, and perspective he gained as a public defender and teacher to offer unique legal representation to northwest Colorado. If you're spending time in Steamboat you may run into Justin skinning up the mountain, skiing down the mountain, trail running, swimming, or occasionally subbing as a lifeguard at Old Town Hot Springs.
