Jeff?s practice is devoted to family law. Jeff started practicing law in 1988 as an associate in the firm of H. Alan Vican in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, representing clients in a wide range of legal matters including federal RICO cases, personal injury cases, estate planning and administration, criminal defense and family law matters. In August 1991 Jeff opened his own firm. The firm started in the general practice of law, providing the full range of legal services for private clients as well as businesses and property owners associations. After years of successfully practicing the many areas of law involved in a generalized practice, Jeff decided to concentrate his practice in the area of family law, representing clients in divorce, support, child custody and adoptions. Jeff also acted as court appointed Divorce Master and Master in Partition. Jeff?s practice is now devoted exclusively to family law. In the last several years he has represented clients in hundreds of custody conciliation conferences and support conferences as well as dozens of custody trials, support hearings and divorce master hearings. Last year Jeff completed 40 hours of family law mediation training. He is now offering his services as a family law mediator. Mediation is an effective way for people to resolve their divorce, custody and support issues in a safe and cooperative setting that gives the parties, rather than the courts, control over the outcome. He has also presented and authored materials for continuing legal education seminars for other lawyers including seminars on Divorce Hearings and Support Hearings, the 2012 Family Law in Northeastern Pennsylvania seminar and the 2011 Monroe County bench-bar conference. In addition, for more than six years, Jeff taught Business Law as an adjunct professor at East Stroudsburg University Jeff also served on the Monroe County Domestic Relations Rules Committee working with the court to develop local rules.
