When Jasmine R. Little enrolled in law school, her goals were to learn as much as she could and to help as many people as she could.She brings that same desire to help people in need, as well as broad experience and knowledge, to her practice at the Deuterman Law Group. Little works out of the firm?s Winston-Salem office and represents clients in their Social Security Disability claims and Medicaid hearings.Jasmine earned her juris doctor from the Wake Forest University School of Law, where she earned awards for receiving the top grade in several classes, including Race and the Law. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and South Carolina.She graduated magna cum laude from East Carolina University, with a bachelor?s degree in political science and a minor in Business Administration.Before joining DLG as an associate attorney, Jasmine had externships at Kennedy, Kennedy, Kennedy & Kennedy, LLP, the Law Office of Lisa Costner and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of NC. These positions provided her with experience in personal injury, employment, medical malpractice issues and bankruptcy law. She was a summer associate with the Charlotte City Attorney?s Office and a bankruptcy attorney in Winston-Salem, and was a legal intern for a criminal and family law practice in Greenville, N.C.During law school, Jasmine was involved in student organizations and a variety of pro bono and social justice projects.She was a blogger for the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property and treasurer for the Black Law Students Association. She was a student attorney for the Innocence and Justice Clinic, which works to reverse wrongful convictions. She also volunteered with the Ban the Box initiative, which seeks to remove questions about applicants? criminal records from on employment applications.A native of Albemarle, Jasmine now lives in Winston-Salem.
