She then went to earn her law degree from the South Carolina School of Law before being admitted to the Charleston County Bar and the South Carolina Bar Association in 1997. Etta is a Charleston native who is dedicated to helping local injured victims and families across the state. During the course of her legal career, she has worked with several law firms in the Lowcountry and taught at Charleston School of Law as an adjunct legal writing professor. In 2012, Attorney Simons started her own small legal practice, where she performed contract work for local lawyers and writing for the National Association of Independent Schools.
