Erin C. Eurenius is delighted to help seniors, individuals with disabilities, and their families at Butcher Elder Law. Her passion for elder law stems from her personal experiences with her grandmother, Helen. Erin?s grandmother helped to raise her while living with the family. Around the age of 84, Helen was diagnosed with dementia and a few short years later suffered from a stroke. Erin watched the repercussions of not planning ahead for these devastating occurrences in life. Erin went to doctor?s visits and hospital calls at 3:00 A.M. and visited the nursing home. She saw the guardianship and Medicaid process firsthand. She understands the stress and anxiety that a family can be dealing with during these situations. Erin?s family experiences with her grandmother motivated her to attend law school. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. Erin participated in the dual degree program and also has her Masters of Business Administration. Her previous professional career involves working in public and private accounting at the firms of PriceWaterhouse Coopers and RSM McGladrey. Her focus was on tax. Erin is a Certified Public Accountant. She grew up in the Cleveland area and attended Padua Franciscan High School. Erin is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Academy of Special Needs Planners. She is also a part-time instructor at Cuyahoga Community College and Polaris Career Center.
