Prior to joining the firm, Eric was an Assistant State?s Attorney at the DuPage County State?s Attorney?s Office from 2010 ? 2013. While an Assistant State?s Attorney, Eric was actively engaged in prosecuting cases including misdemeanors and assisting on felony matters. During this time, Eric was selected to represent the Office at the Illinois State?s Attorney?s and Illinois Department of Transportation?s ?Under the Influence Seminar.? Eric also managed trial strategy and courtroom scheduling for the expedient disposition of cases as a first-chair prosecutor, conducting over 100 bench and jury trials. Upon leaving the State?s Attorney?s Office, Eric was presented the award for Outstanding Service to the Office of the State's Attorney and the Citizens of DuPage County.Following his time at the DuPage County State?s Attorney?s Office, Eric opened up his own practice primarily focusing on criminal defense matters across Illinois. During this time, Eric aggressively and successfully defended clients from criminal matters ranging from traffic tickets to serious felonies.In 2014, Eric closed his practice and became a Partner at Telander and Telander Attorney?s and Counselor?s at Law. He continued in his representation of clients charged with criminal offenses throughout Illinois including many high profile cases.Eric earned his Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School with a concentration in litigation. Prior to enrolling in law school, Eric graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor?s degree in Tourism Development and Management.
