Daniel S. Perlman previously served as the case law attorney for Massachusetts Advocates for Children (MAC), one of the first educational advocacy organizations for children in the nation. At Massachusetts Advocates for Children, he represented and counseled families of children with special needs from across the state. He is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law and the University of Massachusetts, where he graduated magna cum laude. Mr. Perlman has presented on special education and school discipline law at Northeastern University School of Law, Suffolk University Law School, Endicott College, and at SEPACs, nonprofits, and other organizations. He is a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), the Special Need Advocacy Networks (SPAN), and the Massachusetts Bar Association. Mr. Perlman has committed his entire legal career to helping families who have children with special needs. As a special education attorney, he helps ensure that children with special needs receive the services and support they are entitled to under law. He routinely represents and advises families on all aspects of special education disputes including the team process (evaluations, eligibility, IEP development, program and placement disputes), school discipline, mediation, unilateral and out-of-district placements, litigation at the Bureau of Special Education Appeals, and settlement negotiation.
