I grew up in Tualatin and graduated from Tualatin High School. I went on to receive a BS in Public Policy and Administration from Western Oregon University with a focus on using legal and governmental tools to make life better for individuals. I continued building the skills to better advocate for people against big business and impersonal government agencies by attending Willamette University College of Law. Knowing that courts are an expensive and difficult to access path to justice, I dedicated my studies to learning how to best serve people?s interests in much more accessible alternative dispute resolution formats, such as negotiation, mediation, and arbitration. I joined Hanson & Walgenkim as a contract attorney in July 2014. My passion for legal work protecting individuals from exploitation and affirming individual rights has led to a practice built around education law, guardianships and other elder law tools to protect individuals with developmental and age related disabilities. The compatibility of this passion with the work of Hanson & Walgenkim, LLC led me to come on board as a partner in March 2015 to better enable me and the firm to protect individuals. When he is not working, Christopher enjoys swing dancing, reading fantasy and science fiction novels, and supporting his wife?s Mary Kay business. View More ?
