I was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and moved to San Antonio, Texas in the Summer of 1987 with my mom and younger brother. That was the year that Mom, the late Jo Ann Dauphin Moore, was recruited by former Mayor Henry Cisneros as the first Executive Director of Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) of San Antonio. As a child, I often accompanied my mom to work, where I learned the value of community service and community leadership. As a result, my family and I began to see San Antonio as home.?Although time with my mom was cut short by her sudden passing in 1997, the impression she made on me was tremendous. She left a great legacy and I strive to live up to that legacy everyday as a mother and public servant. I am grateful to my dear father, criminal defense attorney William Michael Dauphin, Jr., who inspired me to always value fairness and justice. I graduated from Xavier of Louisiana and Tulane Law School and became licensed to practice law in the State of Texas in 2005. No stranger to adversity, my life experiences have made me a compassionate and realistic attorney. I understand that for many people like myself, life can be challenging at times, but it is what we do in those challenging times that defines us. I look at all of the things in my life that might bring someone down, as tools of strength and character building. I was a judge for the City of San Antonio for twelve years and developed a passion for rehabilitative and therapeutic justice. Now as a practicing attorney, I enjoy helping people to rebuild their lives and families when facing the most challenging of times. I volunteer and make regular charitable contributions to non-profit organizations focused on children and victims of domestic violence as I hold both of these populations near and dear to my heart.
