He received his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University, where he majored in political science; he also received a secondary major in international studies with a minor in French. Brendan then moved to Seoul, South Korea for five years where he taught language classes at numerous public schools, private academies and at Seoul National University of Education.Brendan returned to Kansas in 2011 to attend Washburn University School of Law. He was sworn in to the Kansas Bar and U.S. District Court on September 27, 2013. He is licensed to practice law in Kansas, the United States District Court for the District of Kansas, and the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Tribal Court.He is a member of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, Kansas Bar Association, Wichita Bar Association, Topeka Bar Association and Sam A. Crow Inns of Court. He was on the Topeka Bar Association's Pro Bono Committee from 2013 to 2015 and was the Kansas Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Pro Bono Chairperson from 2015-2016. Brendan was also a part-time rural legal advocate for the YWCA Center for Safety and Empowerment from 2014 to 2016.Prior to joining DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers, Brendan worked for a law firm in Topeka, Kansas that focused on plaintiffs' personal injury, notably medical and motor vehicle negligence.
